With the success of Urban Go-Team and the Pulitzer ambassador trip to Washington, DC, we have planned more ActiveCitizen360 field trips for this year. Among our interests are jobs and issues related to energy and the environment. Thus our field trip on Saturday, October 3 (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM) to the Fred Weber Quarry and Landfill to see Trash being converted to Methane being converted to Megawatts.
We will meet at Crossroads College Preparatory School (map) at 9:00 AM on Sat., Oct. 3 and return by 11:30 AM. ActiveCitizen360 will provide transportation to and from the Fred Weber quarry. Once at Fred Weber, students will tour the quarry, landfill, and trash to energy facilities in four-wheel drive trucks and vans owned by Fred Weber or their personnel.

Students will need two kinds of permission forms:
- Completion of the standard 2009-2010 ActiveCitizen360 permission form. A link to the form is available on the right side of this page. Please be sure to complete all contact and medical information as well as to sign in the three indicated locations. This will be the only time during the year in which you will have to complete this information.
- We will have a digital permission form available by Monday, September 28. We will ask parents to "sign off" digitally on student attending special events. More information to follow.
