Dear Bobbi, Many people have asked us "What's Civitas?" We hope that we can answer some of those questions with a new video on our organization. It is produced by Frank Popper ("Can Mr. Smth Get to Washington Anymore?"). We have tried to present Civitas as it is; not as it might be presented in a promotional piece. It's all out there for you to see. We hope that you'll take a look. It's about seven and a half minutes long.

Last Week's Survey Question Six persons correctly answered the question: "The military junta of Argentina attacked South Georgia Island followed by the Falkland Islands and prompting Margaret Thatcher to attack (leading to her electoral win in 1983 and further Conservative rule in Britain). This answer was provided by Dr. Daniel Berg. The question was: We have information about upcoming events, but during the past week Russia has taken military action against the sovereign nation of Georgia (not to be confused with the American state of Georgia). The nation of Georgia wants to join NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), but at present it is not an official member. Only once since NATO was established in 1949 has there been an attack on a NATO country. Can you tell us on what country was attacked and where it took place? Hint: the attack actually occurred in South America. [Source of information: Columnist George Will on ABC's "This Week," Sun., Aug. 10, 2008]
