Survey on America's Space Program
Senior Civitas NASA Correspondent Gloria Bilchik was in Florida for last Sunday's liftoff of Shuttle Discovery. She took the photo to the left while nearly 200 miles south of the launch.
President Barack Obama is facing tough decisions with regard to the future of America's space program. Current plans call for only nine more shuttle flights and then a four year hiatus until a new space vehicle (the Orion) begins test flights was the goal of eventually going back to the moon and perhaps to Mars. Our survey seeks your thoughts on the direction in which you would like to see America's space program go. Click here to take the survey.

Discussion Group this Saturday
This will be a "Spring Vacation sandwich discussion" with most schools having their vacation either the week before or the week after Sat., March 21. One topic might be: Is it possible for vacations to be both educational and fun (we hope so; we could also ask the same question about school). We'll want your ideas about our summer Urban Go-Team program and we'll have info on the upcoming Pulitzer Global Gateway program on "women, children, crises." To see more photos from the March 7 discussion, click here.

Plans Proceed for next Pulitzer Global Gateway Project
Journalists who have covered discrimination towards and abuse of women and children in Nepal, Iraq, and the Congo will be coming to St. Louis April 20-22 as part of the Pulitzer Global Gateway program. We are currently working hard in both Washington, DC and St. Louis to refine the project. New information will be presented on March 30 when most participating school's spring vacations are over. You can look forward to a video introduction that day.
