Comments on Question: On March 19, President Barack Obama appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Some people have felt that it is inappropriate for a sitting president to appear on a show such as Jay Leno's. How would you best describe your thoughts on the propriety of the President of the United States appearing on a program such as Jay Leno's?

1.      Maybe if he wasn't "sitting," but, instead standing up, as the news readers do these days, folks would be less disapproving. Just kidding.

2.      It is nice to have an adult in the office again.

3.      I think it made him more "real" and I truly enjoyed it.

4.      On 60 Minutes, correspondent Steve Croft seemed to indicate that it might be wise for President Obama to laugh a little less in interviews. I'm very much of a mixed mind on this one.

5.      Entertainment/News is so blurred anyway I really don't think it's an issue.

6.      I think when some people see him on the Jay Leno Show they won’t take him as serious as they are supposed to.

7.      I believe the President is beginning to overstep his boundaries-- he needs to keep in mind the resounding impact of his actions.

8.      I Don't think poles like this make sense. He's the President and people want to know what's going on no matter the venue.

9.      In this day and age, Obama needs to stay in touch with the electorate this way. I'm sure eventually the President will tweeet his way through office.
