UTC rough Draft

The purpose of the United Ideology Committee is to raise awareness about religions on a Universal scale. Which includes respect of interpretation. The UTC will consist of theologists who will come together and participate in an open discussion. The religious representative can participate if they come peacefully and willingly be aware of their and others’ beliefs. If they don’t abide by the guidelines stated by the UTC they will be promptly removed from the committee.

UTC Goals/Tasks

·        To describe religious faiths in all their diversity.

·        To see controversial topics from all points of view

The motto: No peace among the nations without peace among the religions.

Universal Declaration of Religious Interpretation

Preamble:

 Recognizing that the interpretation of religion, not religion itself, is the root of many problems in the Middle East and the world, and

Affirming that the UDHR is a Universal standard of human rights and so is applicable to people of all faiths, and

Noting that any violation of the UDHR is a transgression against humanity, and

Alarmed that religious fervor often takes the place of rationalism,

Article 1: UTC states that fanaticism breeds hatred and violence.

Article 2: UTC states that all religions can and should contribute towards promoting religious co-operation.

Article 3: UTC states that peace can be reached by living up to the high ideals of love, unity, and tolerance that lie at the center of the faiths own religious beliefs.

Article 4: UTC states that by educating the religions we can end the human suffering that religious fanaticism has wrecked upon communities, nations, and the entire world.

Article 5: UTC states that intolerance represents a perversion of religion and is directly contrary to the humane teaching brought forth by the founders of the religions of the world.
