Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:

Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Aware that in the Solomon Islands, many provinces have an unhealthy water supply for cooking and bathing, and

Appalled that in the Solomon Islands, especially Ontong Java, rain- and seawater must be used for bathing and cooking uses, and

Concerned for the health of residents of the area, because of the country’s 75% force of agriculture in their economy,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that wells be built on the major Solomon Islands of Choiseul, Santa Isabel, Malaita, Guadalcanal, San Cristobal, and Ontong Java. As well as building wells in Iraq[BobDole1] .

2.      The money to build these wells, a maximum of 26, 000 EUR (roughly 31, 000 USD), be funded by the mother country, Great Britain.

3.      That this money be distributed directly to the government of the Solomon Islands, to be given to citizens of the aforementioned islands to dig the said wells.

4.      The name of this commission would be the U.N.C.W.A. (United Nations Clean Water Aid.)

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Realizing that bird flu is rapidly spreading throughout the countries that have no money for vaccine for this harmful disease, and

Appalled that over 100 people in Europe countries like Poland have been killed by the bird flu, and

Concerned that Poland doesn’t have as much money as some countries such as Germany, France, England, or China, and

Worried that this disease could spread worldwide within the next 10 years,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that member nation increase the dues for a surplus of $11[BobDole1]  million. 

2.      Of this 8[BobDole2]  million, 3[BobDole3]  million would be used for clean up procedures of the infected animals.

3.      The remaining 5 million would be used for multi-international cooperative research program that would be established to find an immunization and vaccine for this disease.

4.  Agrees to the inexpensive expense and dispersion of the vaccination and immunization to all or any nations that are in need to the amount of $1.00 a shot.

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:

Whereas Article 26, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.”, and

Whereas Article 21, section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right of equal access to public service in his country.”, and

Realizing that according to UNICEF in 2004, the total number of students [enrolled in schools in Somalia] was 285,574; [which is only] 5.7% of the population, and

Appalled that most of the children at age ten are sent to the military to handle violent conflicts, and

Concerned that school only last two and one half hours, beginning at 7:30am and ending at 10 am, and

Worried that Somalia hasn’t had a central government since 1991, there is no one to enforce education,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that a team of U.N. volunteer teachers are sent to Somalia.

2.      These teachers are to be trained to teach kids from the primary, secondary, and special education levels.

3.      These teachers will set up a small education system in the country’s capital, Mogadishu.

4.      All students in the country’s capital will be required to attend school Monday through Friday 7:30am[BobDole1]  – 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm, until they catch up on work.

5.      In order for the original teachers to do accurate teachings, they will be trained as the volunteers were, and salaries will be raised.

6.      Membership dues for the U.N. will be raised in the ten richest countries, to pay for the increased salaries.

7.      This project will be in effect for one full school year.  If the outcome is better knowledge for the students, the project will spread throughout Somalia.

8.      Additional countries will be added[BobDole2] .

Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and

Whereas Article 7 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “All are equal before the law and are entitled without discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.”, and

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

 Whereas Article 25, section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born or in out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.”, and

Whereas Article 26, section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United nations for the maintenance of peace.”, and

Realizing that despite the increase in drug rehabilitation centers run by the government that the number of drug addicts in China increased from 148,000 in 1991 to an estimated 7,000,000 documented addicts in 2004, and

Concerned that most heroin users in China are age 35 and under, and

Appalled that in June of 2004 the Chinese government executed hundreds of heroin addicts in celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, and

Condemns the use of current drug rehabilitation centers as prisons and the poor treatment of heroin addicts in those centers, and

Deeply concerned about the rise of HIV/AIDS infection because of intravenous needles used by heroin users,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that the member nations donate money and other aid from security and terrorism budgets.

2.      The money is to be used for the conversion of 5 drug rehabilitation centers in the cities of Xian, Beijing and Hong Kong. The[BobDole1]  other 2 will be located in central China and in western China. The centers[BobDole2]  will be open to all ages.

3.      In addition, the money donated will support drug prevention and education programs for children living in rural areas of China.

4.      Request the member nations discuss changing drug laws and penalties for drug use with the Chinese government.

5.   The program will operate for 3 years and at that time the Chinese government will assume control of the program. The[BobDole3]  U.N. will check in on the rehab centers every 6 months.

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Realizing that health care reform in Hungary is significantly low, and

Appalled that, the citizens of Hungary are not given proper health care reform despite it being in the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, and

Concerned that death rate is among the top 40 countries in the world, and

Worried that the government may never take care of this issue,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that the assembly vote on a project to increase the income of countries with a death rate of more than 10 in a thousand people. The[BobDole1]  first five years, it will cost 2.5 million. Each additional year will cost $500,000.
 

2.       This money will be used to assist in budget to supply more people with health care.
 

3.      The name of this unit will be the H.C.F.C (Health Care Funding Committee)
 

4.       This project will be authorized for 5 years. At the end of the first[BobDole2]  and third year, the Assembly will meet to discuss the unit.

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:

Whereas Article 12 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to protection of the law against such interference and attacks.”, and

Whereas Article 20 section one of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.”, and

Realizing that in Egypt a bombing occurred and destroyed a resort with approximately 300 people. This event happened in 2005 on the 25th of July. The attack killed about 85 people and injured over 200 others, and

Appalled in another bombing on October 8, 2005 damaged a Hilton Hotel in Taba, Egypt. While more than 30 people were killed and 114 were wounded, and

Worried that terrorist attacks will continue to persist in the nation,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

1.      Request that we provide more protection to this country through the U.N. Security forces.

2.      Also, give them at least $1.3 million to help them buy more equipment and personnel (security) to secure their land to prevent some of these attacks.

3.      Money will be provided by using 1% of U.N. dues.
