Establishing in
the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
1. Requests that Apple Computer Company makes a 10 Gigabyte iPod in a rainforest green color where $20 of the purchase price is donated to our organization. A[BC1] clothing line to raise additional funds will also be created with foreign companies encouraged to participate.
2. This money will be given to the R.A.N. (Rainforest Action Network). The [BC2] U.N. will supervise the program by receiving the money from IPod and using it to purchase rainforest land.
3. This money will be used to buy land (a half an acre for every $20) in the rainforest in Brazil.
4. The land bought will ensure that parts of the rainforest will be preserved for future generations.
5. This program will be authorized for five years with Apple continuing to update the product as needed. At the end of the fifth year the general assembly will discuss the renewal of the program in Brazil and the extension of donations to the rainforest in Madagascar and Australia as well.

the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
1. Request [BC1] that the 10 wealthiest nations add .005% to their owed dues.
2. This money is to be used to purchase 80,400 water purifiers.
3. These purifiers will be distributed to families living along the Ganges River in India and Bangladesh.
4. The name of this program will be the Ganges Water Purification Association (or the GWPA).
5. This program will be authorized for two years. At the end of the second year, the General Assembly will discuss the renewal of the program.

the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
1. Request that member nations with the GNP per capita more than $13,000 add a 0.25% [BC1] increase to their U.N. member dues.

This money is to set up an unemployment pension for
people in Bosnia who have been out of work for
6 months[BC2] .
3. The [BC3] money will also create a public works program to provide jobs for when the pension expires.
4. The name of this program will be United Nations Unemployment Pension (U.N.U.P)
5. If U.N.U.P is successful in Bosnia, after 3 years [BC4] the program will be started in six more countries with a high unemployment rate.
6. This program will be authorized for ten years. At the end of the fifth year, the General Assembly will discuss the renewal of the program.

the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Realizing
that in Zimbabwe the black rhinoceros herd has been significantly reduced by
poaching, and
Observing
that in T’savo East National Park, Kenya’s largest park, loses 90, 000 animals a
year to poachers, and
1.
Request that member
nations with a GNP of $15,000 add a 3% increase to their U.N. member dues to
give to
Committee
[BC1] of
Anti-Poaching (C.A.P.)
2. Further request that a 2% airfare and 2% cigarette import/export [BC2] tax be applied to the top 10 richest U.N. member countries.
3. 50% of this money is to be forwarded to training and employing local citizens for anti-poaching patrols. The [BC3] parks will also have new fences put up with surveillance equipment.
4. 25% of this money is to be funneled into community education & involvement programs.
5. 25% of this money is to be funneled into programs protecting animals in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
6. The fines for illegal hunting will increase by 20%.
7. Jail time will be increased by 10[BC4] years if caught poaching.

After
5 years

will be evaluated for success and a committee will decide if the project shall
continue for a longer period. If continued it will proceed in 5 more countries.

Establishing in
the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
1. Request that 1/10 of every AT&T cell phone bill over $45 [BC1] be collected based on the discretion of the bill payer.
2. This money will be divided and distributed to two areas.
3. ½ of all the proceeds be distributed to the International Red Cross and be used toward medical care for those who are suffering of starvation or disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
4. ½ of all the proceeds will be used to provide an extra amount of U.N. Peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and areas surrounding who have been or will be affected by the Radical Groups.
5. This Program will be called PABPIC (Phoning a Better Place in the Congo).
6. This program is planned to begin at the start of the 2008 year.
7. In the next 3 years, if this program is successful, the General Assembly will discuss the renewal of the program, or the return of 6,000 out of the 10,000 U.N. peacekeepers sent over.
[BC1]After 3 proposed amendments it was finally decided that an optional funding mechanism would be used.

The funds are to be forwarded to the setup of drug
rehabilitation centers and education of drug trafficking prevention.
3.
The money will be distributed to the areas of Colombia
and Uruguay that have the highest areas of drug trafficking problems and
inhabitants addicted to drugs.
4.
The name of this
project will be United Nations Drug Rehabilitation and Anti-Drug Trafficking
Initiative (U.N.D.R.A.D.T.I.).
5.
If U.N.D.R.A.D.T.I. is successful in Columbia and
Uruguay, after 10 years the program will be started in 3 other South American
countries with the highest drug trafficking problem.
6.
This program will be authorized for 15 years. At the end
of the 10th year, the General Assembly will discuss the renewal of
the program.
