Dear Bobbi,
Here are some important things for you to know about our departure this Sunday, July 12:

1.
We are flying from
St. Louis (STL) to Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) on
Southwest Flight 566. It leaves St. Louis at 9:20 AM (CDT) and
arrives at BWI at 12:20 PM (EDT).

2. Everyone needs to be at the airport two hours in advance; i.e. at
7:20 AM
3. We will be leaving from the East Terminal at Lambert Airport. We’ll meet at the entrance to the security line, located near the center of the upper level of the terminal.

4. Again, make sure that you follow the T.S.A. and Southwest guidelines on what you can carry on-board. You can check here to review the guidelines.
5. Also, remember to bring only what you can carry; we will not be checking baggage. One bag can fit in the overhead compartment; the other must be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. Southwest Airlines limits carryon bag dimensions to 10x16x24 inches.
6. Southwest allows passengers to procure boarding passes 24 hours in advance on-line. We will be doing that for you.
7.
We’ll have your AmTrak tickets from BWI to Union Station in
Washington, DC.

8. As of now, it appears as if we will be taking five Metro (subway) rides during the trip. We will give each student $10.00 to purchase a fare card upon their arrival at Union Station.

PACKETS
The Pulitzer and Civitas people have put together lots of printed material for you. You’ll receive much of it in a packet at the airport; there will be other handouts in Washington, DC. Before you leave home, make sure that you have room for the packet. Please take some time on the plane to review the material.
OUR RETURN TO ST. LOUIS
This is of particular importance to parents. Please do not forget that we will be arriving back in St. Louis on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:35 PM on Southwest Flight 248 from BWI (Baltimore).
