To whom it may concern:

I have been a Model United Nations students for the last four years. I have been apart of the state championships for both Delaware and PA and have won. I have also been victorius at the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUNXXXV) in Washington, D.C., where my school (Salesianum) was placed (again) as one of the top ten model UN teams in North America. Now, having made my references clear, it is my opinion that resolution HR-07 lacks content or force. It is too vague and does not put any 'teeth' into the ban it calls for. This resolution would surely fail at the real UN and has an even poorer chance of passing if I was in the council. My advice to you would be to perform actual research on the topic of land mines and then construct a policy that actually accomplishes something, instead of simply cally for this ideolistic ban. If I didn't know any better, I would say that you are first, maybe second year, model UN students at best. I speak for experience, from my MUN achievements, and from my heart when I say: "Your resolution SUCKS!!!"

Sincerely,

Joseph P. '98, National Champion
