Dear
Teachers,
With
hopes that you are off to a good start to the school year and that we all will
be entertained in October with a long run by the Cardinals
in the playoffs (i.e., a World Championship), we move on with our Junior
Gateway Model United Nations.
We
want to remind you that first Faculty Advisors Meeting will be on Monday,
October 2, at 4:00 PM, at the UNA headquarters at 121 So. Meramec (10th
Floor) [map enclosed].
This will be the time for us to go over the framework of the program and
initiate improvements. Please bring
your suggestions along. We will
also work on scheduling our classroom visits.
As always, our meetings will last no more than an hour, because boredom
happens. New parking
information: you can park conveniently and for free in the parking garage on
the east side of Meramec Ave. (just across the street from the U.N.A. building).
Simply turn into the garage at the
furthest north entrance off Meramec and inform the attendant that you will be
attending a meeting at the United Nations Association.
They will have a list of all of your names so you should be let right
through!
Proposed
dates for subsequent faculty meetings can also be worked out then.
Currently, those suggested dates are Monday,
November 6; Monday, February 26, and a final follow-up meeting in late
April (we have one less meeting time this year).
Again,
arrangements have been made with the Creve Coeur Government Center for
facilities this year. Our 2001
dates will be:
Wed., March 21
Wed., April 4
Wed., April 25
