Whereas Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person,” and
Whereas Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment,” and
Noting that one nuclear blast has the capability to kill or fatally injure anyone within a 30-mile radius of ground zero, and
Alarmed at the growing number of nuclear weapons available for use.
Be It Hereby Resolved That the General Assembly:
1.
Request that all countries dismantle nuclear weapons and discontinue
production.
2. Establish a committee to determine what incentive can be provided to countries that dismantle nuclear weapons and establish a timetable for dismantlement and consequences for non-compliance.

Acknowledging the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11, 2001 has alarmed American people and government considering national security, and
Whereas the terrorist attack on the United States has alarmed other nations around the world, and
Whereas the United States has been attacked by terrorists, and
Whereas the Allied nations are not doing there part in aiding the United States in their war on terrorism, and
Be It Hereby That The General Assembly:
1.
Request Allied nations of the United Nations to do their part in aiding
and supporting the United States in their war on terrorism.
2. Request that all international airports increase their security and personnel identification clearance.

Whereas Article 23, Section 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work, and to protections against unemployment,” and
Whereas Article 25, Section 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food…” “Medical care, and necessary Social Services…” “Sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control,” and
Whereas the literacy of Kenya is 69%, yet it is one of the world’s poorest countries, with a GNP per capita of $370, and
Whereas even in a prominent democratic countries such as India have a GNP per capita of only $350.
Be It Hereby Resolved That the General Assembly:
1.
Request that all member nations with high technological agricultural
systems pledge to send money, farming equipment, supplies, and personnel, to
three countries with a GNP per capita of less than $300.
2.
The supplies, money, equipment and personnel would go to those countries,
which need assistance learning how, and went to grow crops.
3.
The money and various supplies will be sent to three countries based on
how they rank according to wealth (the poorest).
4. The project will last for six years, in the fourth year, the General Assembly will begin discussion on the renewal of the program.
5. The various countries providing money, supplies, and personnel will be put on a committee of ten, chosen by the Secretary General to oversee the entire operation.
6. The three members of the chosen counties will be in charge of providing a farm area. These members must also provide sufficient information for the committee on the progress or lack of providing jobs for the neighboring communities.
7. The name of this commission with be, the United Nations Commission to End World Poverty (U.N.C.E.W.P.).

Whereas Article 25, Section 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection,” and
Whereas Article 2, Section 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “everyone has the right of equal access to public service in his country, and
Whereas about 65% of infants, toddlers, and children die within their first 9 years of life, and
Whereas about 60% of infants, toddlers, and children who survive their childhood remain infected with the disease.
Be It Hereby Resolved that the General Assembly:
1. Request that 7% of Vietnamese tax money be put on small pox vaccinations.
2. Request that every two-month that they have an open vaccination for all tax payers at a public doctor’s office.

Whereas Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status, and
Alarmed by the dramatic increase worldwide in the numbers of attacks on foreigners by those promoting anti-immigrant ideas, and
Noting that over the last decade there was a dramatic rise in the number of organizations classified as militantly and violently right wing, and
Recalling that assaults against all faiths and their institutions have also increased, and
Concerned that prosecutors in legal systems around the globe often fail to prosecute these right-wing extremists to the fullest extent of the law,
Be It Hereby Resolved That the General Assembly:
1. Request that increased resources be made available to law enforcement personnel in countries experiencing such acts of hatred.
2. Recommend resources include additional manpower and equipment to monitor suspected individuals and groups and additional legal staff to prosecute those charged.
3. Assure that a portion of these dedicated funds be directed to awareness programs that help bridge the differences that often leads to this kind of inhumanity.

Whereas Article 6 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law” and
Whereas Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile” and
Whereas Article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Section 1, “Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his government, directly or through freely chosen representatives.”
Ashamed by the fact that the country of Afghanistan has not had a working government since 1993, we are unable to fulfill these rights to their full value, and
Recognizing that the budget established by Afghanistan is non-existent, and
Recalling that we have no government to properly apply any funds received by Afghanistan,
Be it Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Request that all member nations and all international air carriers agree to assess a 1% tax on passenger airline tickets.
2. The money generated from this tax should be used as a reconstruction fund for the Afghanistan government.
3. The country of Afghanistan also request assistance in the forming of a working government.
4. This program will be initially authorized for five years. In the second year of the program, the general assembly will commence discussion of the continuance of the program.

Whereas Article 26, Section 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit,” and
Whereas Article 26, Section 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights state, “Education shall be directed to full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace,” and
Whereas the literacy rate in India is 40%, and many children are forced to drop out of school at young ages to work on the farm, while other children get jobs to help support their families, or they are needed at home to look after the younger children, and
Whereas India does not push the importance of education, so half of India’s adult population still cannot read or write.
Be It Hereby Resolved That:
1. Children should not be allowed to drop out of school before the age of 16.
2. The government must try to set up a law that children under the age of 16 may not work.
3. The General Assembly recommend that children must achieve enough knowledge to live prosperously in our technological world.

Whereas Article 23, Section 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and protection against unemployment,” and
Concerned that worldwide nearly 250 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 work, at least 120 million of them on a full-time basis, and
Alarmed about the fact that particularly in Third World countries children work long hours and low wages, and
Realizing that children are often forced to work with dangerous machinery, equipment, and tools or are involved in the manual transport of heavy loads, and
Apprehensive that large numbers of working children are denied educational opportunities and the chance to have a normal childhood,
Be It Hereby Resolved That the General Assembly:
1. Request that an agency be established under the direction of the UN to accept reports of labor violations.
2. Direct the ILO (International Labor Organization) to assist labor departments in countries where these violations occur establish clear, reasonable and enforceable standards in the areas of age, wages, and working conditions.
3.
Request funding from its membership to increase education opportunities
for children whose family’s economic situation requires their children’s
contributions.
4. Encourage member nations to honor boycotts of companies that repeatedly violate standards established by the ILO.
