WORLD FEDERALIST CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The World Federalist Association of Greater St. Louis is having for free attendance (including hotel room, meals, and registration fee) at the national WFA convention to be held here in St. Louis at the Sheraton West Port Lakeside Chalet Nov. 15-18.  Former Sen. Paul Simon will be the main speaker Saturday night, Nov. 17.  Leila Sadat of Washington University's Institute for Global Legal Studies will be talking about the International Criminal Court on Thursday night.  Friday noon Bruce Gagnon will talk about U.S. plans to gain unilateral dominance in space and late Saturday morning Robert Johansen of the Joan B. Kroc International Peace Studies program will speak on new ideas for U.N. peacekeeping.  We will also have workshops on other topics such as the Tobin Tax (by Professor David Felix of Washington University) and alternatives to a U.S. unilateral foreign policy (by Admiral (ret.) Eugene Carroll of the Center for Defense Information).
