Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and
Whereas Article 5 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment or punishment.”, and
Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and
Whereas the undernourished population of people in North Korea is 57% in a population of 22,428,000, and
Whereas the population of people is 197 per square kilometer, and
Whereas the number of tourist arrivals in the year 2000 was 130,000, and
Whereas the average life expectancy is 62 for males and 67 for females,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. That each member of the United Nations donates 0.1%[AHL1] of their country’s government tax money for food and shelter for the homeless in North Korea.
2. That the North Korean government increases job opportunities.
3. The North Korean government allows tourists to freely see the country.
4. The North Korean government allows their people to freely enter and leave the country.
5. Clauses 3 and 4 will allow the citizens to get jobs out of North Korea.
6. The name of this program will be Sheltering and Feeding North Korea’s Hungry.
7. This program will be initially authorized for 7 years. In the fifth year of the program, the General Assembly will discuss renewal of the program.

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Realizing the problem of disappearing languages is an issue not currently addressed by the UDHR, and
Alarmed that languages are dying at a rate of two each month and over the next century it is estimated that 40% of the world’s languages will die, and
Whereas languages in the rainforests and jungles of South Africa and Africa have words used to name certain plants that have curative properties for several diseases, including cancers, and
Realizing 52% of languages are spoken by fewer than 10,000 people, 28% fewer than 1000 people, and 83% are only spoken by people in one country, and
Whereas countries which are most at risk include Colombia, Brazil, Australia, Mexico, Russia, Madagascar, Senegal, Djibouti, and especially the United States, and
Whereas in the United States only there are more than 80 endangered languages, and
Alarmed that there are just over 6,500 languages remaining and only 6000 of them have available records,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Request that all member nations in the top 10% per capita agree to charge a 0.5% [AHL2]tax increase.
2. Request that all member nations and all cruise lines agree to charge a 1% tax increase on all passenger cruise line tickets.
3. Request that all member nations agree to a 0.5%[AHL3] tax increase on all alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
4. This money will be forwarded to the Foundation for Endangered Languages which funds workers whom record and teach endangered languages.[AHL4]
5. This money will be used to fund the training and salaries of those workers who record and teach endangered languages.
6. This money will also be used for the funding and supplies of education programs to teach children who are native to the area the languages so they can record the growth and speakers of the languages.
7. After 5 years the program will be assessed by the General Assembly.[AHL5]

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Whereas Article 25, sections 1 and 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states that all people are ensured good health care, and
Whereas Article 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states that all people should, “…act towards one another in the spirit of brotherhood.”, and
Whereas during the last thirteen years in Iraq deaths caused by pneumonia have gone up by over 1560%, by diarrhea 2283%, and by malnutrition 3413%, and
Whereas these deaths were caused by the lack of medical supplies, inadequate work force, and too few medical supplies due to U.N. sponsored sanctions, and
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Require the armies of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and other “coalition forces” to remove the bulk of their troops out of the country, but leave some to act as peacekeeping entities.[AHL6]
2. End all sanctions on the Iraqi people.
3. Coalition forces must give an adequate amount of money to rebuild the infrastructure of Iraq. [AHL7]

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and
Whereas Article 26, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection of unemployment.”, and
Recognizing that Japan suffers more than 2,000 deaths per year from natural disasters and also has to deal with hundreds of acres of damage, and
Whereas around the world thousands are killed each year where little help is given to those in need,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Request that all nations give a five thousand minimum per year for major earthquake relief fund.
2. Ask all member nations to create a 1% tax on cruises.[AHL8]
3. The money would go to rebuild homes, to support suffering families, and to aid in earthquake and earthquake safety research. The fund is open to any country that suffers from earthquakes or other natural disasters.[AHL9]
4. The organization will be called Japan Opposing Earthquakes. (JOE)
5. The program will be in progress for 8 years with an assessment in year 5, [AHL10]and then the General Assembly will discuss the effect of the project and decide to renew it or not.

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Whereas it is unethical and irresponsible to clone a human being against the wishes of the scientific community and much of the world, and
Whereas we don’t know enough about the side effects of cloning or dangers in the pursuit of cloning, and
Whereas Clonaid claims to have cloned five humans already, and
Whereas the United States is the only country to make human cloning illegal, and
Whereas the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS does not address this issue among the thirty articles,
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Authorize United Nations inspectors to investigate Clonaid labs in the province of Quebec, Canada.
2. A tax will be placed on all cruise lines in the amount of 1%[AHL11] to pay for the cost of inspectors.[AHL12]

Establishing in the PREAMBLE the principles that apply in the resolution:
Alarmed that 50 million people can be described as victims of displacement, and
Realizing that Palestinians make up more than one-fourth of all refugees, and
Whereas nearly two-thirds of refugees come from Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and
Alarmed that refugees by the hundreds are fleeing to England through France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the English Channel, and
Whereas Article 14, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to seek and enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.”, and
Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:
1. Request that the ten largest member nations with a GNP per capita of 10,000[AHL13] or greater agree to provide three kilometer of land for a temporary refugee shelter at each major refugee “hot spot”.
2. No refugee family shall be separated into different shelters.
3. Request that each member nation provide basic human necessities including food, water, bedding, indoor plumbing (toilets and sinks), and medication.
4. Request that all member nations (with the exception of the 10 largest member states according to land mass) with a GNP of $7,000[AHL14] or greater agree to assess a 3% tax on all passenger airline tickets for the purpose of funding this project.
5. This project will continue for four years. At the beginning of the fourth year, the General Assembly will appoint a committee to discuss the continuation of this program.
6. The name of this program shall be: Operation Refugee Rescue.[AHL15]
