Attacking apathy: How to identify problems in your community & do something about them
Join Civitas on Saturday, September 10th for a special guest speaker. We’ve invited Dawn Chapman, one of the founders of JustMomsSTL, to speak with students. The event will be from 9-11 am at the Civitas office. Complimentary breakfast snacks/drinks will be provided.
Dawn has a unique story. When she discovered radioactive waste in her community, Dawn didn’t whine about it on Facebook, she used it to motivate her neighborhood (and others in the country) to take action.
The morning will be focused on providing information to students about how to become engaged in local issues and work to improve the world around them. A flyer for the event can be found by clicking here.
