This weekend, Civitas will be returning to the Festival of Nations (at Tower Grove Park) to promote our programs and recruit more students. We plan on having a booth open from 10-5 on both Saturday and Sunday. We will have a smorgasbord of pens, handouts, a fun quiz, and lollipops for those who stop by and visit. If you volunteer, here are a few quick notes:
- Volunteering is easy. You’ll be in charge of handing out some flyers and talking to people about why you like Civitas programs.
- Dress comfortably. We have t-shirts we will be providing, sunscreen, and water. There’s no guarantee our booth will be in the shade, so be ready for some sun!
- Parking is difficult during the day. Give yourself plenty of time to find a spot and then be prepared to do some walking.
- Bring some cash. There is a ton of amazing food and international trinkets you can pick up.
