Since 2014 is an election year (although there is no presidential contest), our focus will once again be on America’s political process. How easy or how difficult is it for candidates to run? To what extent are voters heard? What role does money play? How about advertising?

We’ll meet with a number of specialists and visit important venues such as where the votes are counted, etc. Each day we’ll return to the Civitas office to review what we have seen, heard, and learned. We will use this blog to record our thoughts, reactions, and day-to-day experiences.

Here at Civitas we’re working diligently to get everything set up for you. I think I speak for all of us in saying that we’re excited to see all of you all this June, to hit the streets and explore what makes St. Louis and other urban enclaves tick.
