On January 29th, Civitas had a number of guest speakers from the St. Louis County Council and Forward Through Ferguson give a presentation to students on their plans for making an alternative group to help with 911 calls. This would assist police on issues that are not crime related and would be more focused on social worker-type calls and they shared info on why such a group is needed. Here are photos from the event.
