Public opinion results — from the “mean streets” of Clayton

Okay, so the streets of Clayton are not so mean.  But on Thursday, September 26, Civitas staff worked with four students and one teacher from Crossroads School to take the pulse of people on the street in Clayton.

The fine teacher was Mohamad Airahawan and the resourceful students (who also entered the data) were Sam Buchholz, Leilani Gooch, Charlotte Sechrist, and Zane Spencer.

As you look at the data from the five questions below, remember that IT’S THE PROCESS; not the results.  The real learning came as the students were on the streets and questioning the public.  They also learned when the entered data.  Perhaps the most significant learning was in idle conversation with peers about the survey.

Actually, the results are pretty interesting, but remember that they come from a sample size of 46 people.  It usually take 1,000 people to make a scientifically valid survey.  But here’s what we have.  If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
