Resolution GA-01 May 5

Re.:                             Inadequate health care services in Zimbabwe

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Zimbabwe
Date:                           May 5, 2022

Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and

Whereas Article 25, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care, and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.”, and

Noting that Zimbabwe has been a part of the United Nations since 1980, and

Concerned that Zimbabwe is estimated to have 1.1 million people HIV positive out of 13 million people, and

Aware that malaria is in the top three causes for death in Zimbabwe, and

Knowing that in ten years, with help of USAID, cases of malaria have gone down 78 percent, and

Alarmed that Tuberculosis is the second leading cause of death in Zimbabwe, and

Recognizing that aids is still a problem in Zimbabwe,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Create a program called Cure Care which will create health care services for a multitude of different medical concerns and provide a basic health care system in Zimbabwe.

  2. Mobile units would travel to rural areas and provide health care services. These would include checkups, vaccines, prenatal care and provide antibiotics on a regular basis.

  3. These health care units would also provide de-worming medication for soil and waterborne parasites.

  4. They would provide IV fluids and other treatments for dehydration.

  5. Zimbabwe is requesting $375 million for these health care services and units as part of a 3-year pilot program.

  6. The program would reach 80% of the 10 million people in Zimbabwe’s rural population

  7. If successful, we will request an additional $750 million over the next ten-year period.

  8. We would allocate $75 million for malaria vaccines, $50 million for prenatal care, $200 million for mobile units including staffing and supplies and the remaining $50 million would go towards antibiotics and additional vaccines as well as miscellaneous care supplies.

Resolution GA-02 May 5

Re.:                             Improving Bribery

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Cuba
Date:                           May 5, 2022

Whereas Article 7 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “All are equal before the law and are entitled without discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.”, and

Whereas Article 21, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives.”, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #10 is Reduced Inequalities, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #17 is Partnerships For the Goals, and

Outraged that it is common for Cuban government officials to engage in these bribes, and

Appalled that hundreds of people at a time are arrested in riots against bribery and the government, and

Concerned that the Cuban people do not have access to simple things due to bribery.

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Pressure the Cuban people with the use of the media to end bribes because to obtain simple things that should be provided, the Cuban people need to use bribery. The press can help report people and government officials that engage in bribes like these.

  2. If no one heeds to this warning, then with the help of the World Bank, we will reduce, and potentially cut, funding to Cuba.

  3. The UN can also provide supplies, like specific foods and medications, that would usually need a bribe to get to the Cuban people.

  4. In the scenario that none of these tactics work, we will need to ask these people to leave the country and never come back.

  5. Then, these people will be arrested for varying years, depending on the number of bribes they were caught for.
  6. The budget will be about $500,000 for the transportation vans, first aid kits, and money going towards the press.

  7. For the first step, we will have the media put pressure for 6 months.

  8. For the second, we will have the World Bank reduce the funding for another 6 months and then cut it completely after that for another year.

  9. Hopefully, once we are finished, the bribery will have decreased by 50%, and will hopefully be able to solve problems without fighting.

Re.:                             Schools for Ukrainian Refugees in Poland

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Germany
Date:                           May 5, 2022
Whereas Article 14 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.”, (It’s Europe. Any European can go into other European countries and work there without needing anything like visas or other documents, except the document that shows your degree ) and

Whereas Article 23 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.”, and

Whereas Article 26, section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.”, and

Noting that Poland has been a member of the United Nations since October 24, 1945, and

Observing Poland is taking in many refugees, and

Recognizing Poland is overwhelmed by the amount of refugees and the funding needed to provide for them, and

Saddened by lack of education and jobs for Ukrainian refugees, and

Convinced Ukrainian refugees would benefit from schools that taught the children in their native language,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Build schools for Ukrainian refugees.

  2. Raising dues for the 10 highest paying countries by 5%.

  3. Building schools by August 2022.

  4. Requiring school principals to submit a report yearly making sure that the schools continue to educate refugees in the basic educational subjects, Math, Literature, and Science.

Re.:                             Addressing Racism in Italy

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Italy
Date:                           May 5, 2022

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #10 is Reduced Inequalities, and

Whereas Sustainable Development Goal #16 is Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and

Whereas Article 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”, and

Whereas Article 2 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without any distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.”, and

Whereas Article 2 section 2 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.”, and

Concerned that there is a rise in hate speech in Italy, and

Shocked that more than half of Italians say that racist act are justifiable, and

Surprised that Italy is one of the last European countries where anti-Semitism is common,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. We would like UN countries to put economic pressure on the Italian government to make a law that will allow more people to be respected and that everyone will have equal rights.
  2. We would like these laws to extend to all people no matter their religion, race, sex, or gender
  3. We would also like to make awareness programs to try to get more people to be more self-aware of things like racist words, language behavior, and hate crimes.
  4. We would like these awareness programs to start in Central Rome which will last for 6 months – a year.
  5. If people start to recognize that racism is a big problem or when there are less reports about hate crimes, these awareness programs will also be in Milan and Naples.
  6. Hopefully when this happens, Italy’s government officials will recognize this problem and that they will try to put a big impact on this problem.
  7. The program’s main goal will be to get at least 10,000-15,000 Italians to go to these programs.
  8. Another main goal of this program would be to have Italians learn about other people’s culture including Africans which could teach Italians to be respectful about others’ culture.
  9. The targeted age group of people going to these programs will be 16-40 years old.
  10. Some materials that we will need are flyers, and office space, a printer, ink, and public speakers to announce the event.
  11. The flyers will cost $1500 because we need a high-quality printer for all of the flyers we give to people.
  12. The office space will cost $240,000 because the program’s goal is to last about 24 months and the rent per month is about $10,000 so we did 24 times $10,000 to get $240,000.
  13. The public speakers will cost about $1,603,000 because there will be 5 public speakers who each get $10,000 as their hiring bonus and $2000 for each event that they speak at with there being 16 events. This comes out to $1,600,000. These programs will also have special speakers that come out once every 8 months resulting in 3 special speakers because the program’s goal is to last 24 months. Each special speaker will get $1000 dollars for speaking resulting in $3000 for them. Now we have $1,600,000 plus $3000 resulting in $1,603,000. The printer and ink are $1700 because we need $200 for ink and the printer is $1500.
  14. After all of the costs we have $1700 plus $240,000 plus $1,603,000 plus resulting in the total cost being $1,844,700.
  15. The last step is to create an online poll to see how Italy now views racism.
  16. If we see that at least 60-70% of Italians now view racism as a big problem, we will be satisfied with what we have done.

Re.:                             The Addition of Donetsk and Luhansk to the United Nations

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            Russia
Date:                           May 5, 2022
Whereas Article 2 section 1 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without any distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.”, and

Realizing that defies the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, and

Upset that Donetsk and Luhansk are being abused for their ethnicity, and

Knowing that learning centers are being targeted by armed groups, and

Concerned that in seven months, 18 citizens were killed as well as 89 civilians harmed,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. Donetsk and Luhansk to be given a position at the United Nations

Resolution GA-06 May 5

Re.:                             Stopping Terrorism

Submitted to:            General Assembly
Submitted by:            France?
Date:                           May 5, 2022
Whereas Article 3 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”, and

Whereas Article 10 of the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states, “Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him.”, and

Whereas about 26,445 people have died from terrorism, and

Whereas there has been bout 190,00 terrorist attacks around the world, and

Whereas there has been 42,347 survivors of terrorist, and

Whereas everyone has a right to good health and well being, and

Whereas everyone has a right to peace, justice and strong institutions,

Be It Hereby Resolved That The General Assembly:

  1. My goal to helping France is reducing terrorist groups and providing an organization that prevents terrorism. This organization will provide safety and strength. (The organization)

  2. We can stock extra camera’s that will connect to the police department and the organization, so we always have eyes. (Cameras)

  3. We could have the government support us, so this isn’t just a little group trying to make a change. (Money support)

  4. We could add a button under stores’ desk in case a terrorist approaches them. So, that not only will the organization be notified but the police. (Safety button)/

  5. The organization could restock the airport of security daily, and in case you are ever under an attack teach people self-defense. The organization only works if you support them, they will support you. (Airport security)

  6. I would like to get a cell-phone line so If you ever need help or want more information, we will have staff members helping. We hope this organization will be a big deal, so all this money won’t go to waste. All that France needs is for this organization to be recognized.

  7. We can start in the capital of France, Paris and provide 1,500 cameras for watch and once this helps and people see that we will move out to other cities and provide more.

  8. The amount estimated of money we will need is 300,000 to pay employee’s and cameras and security support. It also will be used to storage other supplies or if this organization doesn’t start as strong as we want it to, we have support.

  9. Due with this topic, terrorism may last forever but we are hoping with this organization it will stop and we can all come together.

  10. The estimated time for this organization to last will be 5-10 years, but as the years start, we will be granted with a lot of support and money, my fear is if we stop there will be more terrorism attacks. It depends on how well the organization is working so we may last it forever.

Terrorism is a huge conflict that doesn’t always accrue in France. For an organization its best to start in a city and get people on the same page and then begin to spread with the support and help needed. After this organization gets more recognized throughout city by city, we are hoping the government will begin helping and donations with acre.
